I want to see this fight and I think Lara would pull it off. But I don't think Canelo is scared of Lara. I'm not a fan of Canelo think he's been babied by GB and think he's a bit of a Diva and got to where he is based on his marketability not for his resume. but the one thing I respect about him is I honestly believe that he wants to be great he's not just in for the pay cheque and fame.

I think he views it as he wants Martinez or Cotto next. legacy wise even though their both past prime and old either names on the resume right now is greater then Lara. That's why I think he's not that interested.

If he lands one of those names next I get it , if not he should fight Lara next the 2 best 154 fighters right now. If it doesn't happen I'd say it's more GB being safe not wanting to mess with the Canelo gravy train and risk a loss then Canelo being scared.

Styles make fights. Canelo would give Lara a lot of trouble with his power and boxing skill. If El Perro could find Lara, I don't see Canelo, a superior boxer to El Perro, not finding Lara. Love Lara but I don't know if he could outbox Canelo as well as Mayweather did and all Canelo may need is one big shot to change the pace/direction of that fight.

Lara needs to focus on his fight he has coming with Ishe Smith. If Lara is as great as his ten fans keep advertising he needs to impress in the fight with smith. Go in and actually look for the KO.

That is how you make a statement, grab great attention and put pressure on Canelo to make the fight. Not showing up to the conference like a puszy and beg for the fight.
