Lara needs to build his name. His fighting style is boring. He doesn't win impressively (with the one exception against El Perro - btw, he got dropped twice in that fight). Canelo would dominate Lara. Canelo's chin has been tested. Lara's chin is still suspect. Lara has had close fights with C+ level fighters also.

Lara why don't you try making yourself marketable and stop being so boring in the ring like Rigo and maybe people will care enough to have an incentive to fight you.

Bc stardom has privledges. Whether you like him or not, the guy sells.He made that $10 million against Mayweather because together they made the richest fight in the history of the sport. Mayweather previous fight sold 800k ppv's and the Canelo fight sold 2.25 million. He deserved every penny of that $10 million. He's headlining a PPV bc Golden Boy feels he has a big enough fan base to take the risk on. Guys who sell bring in money and money provides more opportunities. Why does Mayweather get to pick every opponent, every aspect of the contract and let guys mess up their careers trying to fight him? It's not bc he earned it, its bc he makes money. If it's about earning it than Ward should be able to operate like FLoyd but he can't. Should Cotto be fighting for the lineal middleweight title? Absolutely not! He lost 2 of his last 3 fights and then beat a C level fighter, also he never fought at middleweight. But the lineal champion wants the big payday involved in fighting Cotto so he gets the opportunity. David Beckham isn't the best soccer player in the world but he's the richest, you know why? Bc he puts asses in seats. Also Canelo is a damn good fighter, everyone talks about the greatness of Lara but his best wins are against the same guys as Canelo. The difference? People will acutally pay to watch Canelo fight those guys (mostly bc hes exciting) and no one cares when Lara does. Thats why Canelo gets big paydays and other people struggle. This isn't a charity its a business.

Lol no way Canelo fights Lara before Cotto win or loss against Sergio. He'd fight Cintron again before that happens haha. Even a Trout rematch before Lara. I think he'll fight Molina next, or maybe even take a step up to 160 and fight Gabe Rosado or something so he can pretend he deserves a middleweight title shot should Cotto win.

If he has any balls he'll fight Lara or Kirkland.

And that's about as dangerous as fighting Lara. Molina is a handful.
