I'd believe it about conditioning if he had punched himself out, but he was winging weakass punches from round #1.
That doesn't add up, so he's got enough pride to not want to get stopped but his pride didn't stretch far enough to not throw the fight?

A fighter with any pride doesn't fix a fight, simple as.

He'll get paid to give a halfassed effort and make the other guy look good, but he's not willing to hit the canvas and fake a KO in front of millions of PPV viewers.

      Nothing complicated about it.

It's probably better that he didn't. From what I've seen tonight Angulo is a terrible actor.

You think he turns that down for a few bucks and a second loss in a row that severely sets his career back?
Right , and how about Canelo losing twice in a row?. You get a washed up Angulo on the spotlight while the young champion would be virtually finished.

I am sure GBP would have loved that, good business.

Besides, Canelo's carreer is stacked with bull*****, the kid is not bad, but he's been brought up to be their money machine, that's obvious.

They handed him a belt against freakin' Matthew Hatton, paid old Shane to move up and make their kid look good. Then the open scorecards against Trout: they gave Canelo every single early round for doing next to nothing, so that when he gassed the fight was virtually over.

Against Floyd one of the judges gave him a draw when he got schooled all night long.

        Do you notice a pattern?.

the fight was clearly fixed in my opinion. angulo was throwing arm punches the entire fight. even in the last couple rounds when he had canelo on the ropes he wasn't turning over his hooks. why would one of the biggest punchers in boxing not turn over his hooks and hit with the inside of the glove like joe calzaghe? it makes no sense. also tony weeks one of the biggest yes men in the sport was in there to make sure nothing went wrong.

              Exactly...

these people wonder why angulo couldnt hurt canelo..well canelo is better faster stronger.

he was constantly beating angulo to the punch, and angulo couldnt walk through canelo's shots, too strong.

I was surprised myself... Virgil and them really sold angulo's chances.. with soviet speed coaches and other nonsense... but the joke was on us! Thanks Virgil. Impressive peformance from Canelo.

and wtf was hunter saying in the corner?

From the ring walk to the ref stoppage Dog looked troubled as if something weighed heavily. I expected furious punches not taps. Either the Sinaloan cartel or Bob Arum tapped that Dog's ass.

Did anyone see Tony Week's pathetic warnings directed at Canelo to stop pushing?

I have never seen anything like that.

                  The fight was very suspect.
