I doubt beating Smith gets you a Mayweather fight. Lara would have to beat Canelo for that.

Doesn't matter, people will **** all over Lara just as soon as Floyd even wishers his name as a possible opponent. People will claim Lara's garbage who shouldn't even have a boxing license and hasn't beaten anyone, is too green, too slow, too this and too that.

At the end of the day Lara needs a good win. Preferably by KO/TKO with a large audience watching. His stock will need to rise. At least Mayweather is highlighting him some. However I expect a certain fan base to start ****ting all over him now.

Yet if Angulo beats Alvarez I expect that fight to go down in September, especially if Lara doesn't look good or make a name for himself between then and now. And that's assuming Floyd even moves back up to Junior Middle Weight. Right now, he's unstoppable at 147 and looks his best.

I think Lara vs Mayweather is the best change that anyone will see Mayweather lose. However, there would be no reason from a business standpoint to fight Lara. Lara isn't a big enough household name and although he beat Angulo and Trout...those guys aren't well known to the general public.

I agree. Floyd has not vacated his titles at 54. If Canelo beats Angulo and Martinez beats Cotto Lara has the opportunity of a lifetime.

He needs to knock Ishe the **** out and look like a killer.
