I just point out that someone should just draw the line. Yeah Lomachenko's handlers ****ed up, but that doesn't make this one right. It seems as if a bad precedent is being set and that is not for the good of the sport.

Could be my man. From memory it was a unification fight and the major incident, alone with Duk Koo Kims death, that led to the ******** of same day weigh ins.

It does seem like people are looking for petty excuses to be outraged and hate this kid. One pound over? That doesn't give him any advantage over Angulo. If he had gone to a sauna and sweated for 45 minutes, I am sure he could have lost another pound. It didn't seem that crucial so they went the negotiation route. If I were Angulo, I would be happy with $100,000 more bucks and something that is no factor in the fight.

This will be a short-lived controversy except of course if Canelo wins impressively.

It is very clear that you have never had to make weight to see how hard it is to actually come down and be on target. Plus it drains you and you can't rehydrate as much

If he could have he would have IMO. You don't give away 100k just for the hell of it.

The situation will be remembered by Virgil Hunter as "The Canelo Incident"...

Alvarez win gets discredited big time after this. Guess he can only blame himself.

If his life depended on it, I'll bet he could have. One pound still is not very much to lose. Three pounds, maybe too tough. Tempest in a teapot, junk. No advantage to him, zero. He was generous to give away $100,000.00 for that.
