I disagree with Hunter on this one.

1) It's not like Canelo didn't try to make weight or was way overweight. He missed the limit by one effin pound.

2) I don't recall Baldomir being run through the mud when he missed weight before his fight with Canelo. Canelo didn't even ask for compensation.

3) The only "message" this situation sends is that Canelo has outgrown the jr. MW division, and needs to move up.

Hunter is right on everything. I wish that someone would just pull out of a big fight when the opponent misses the weight. Just like Michael Spinks pulled the plug on his big fight against Marvin Johnson (not sure it was Johnson, but it was a big fight) forcing the fights cancellation on the eve of the fight.

He would be right if Canelo had said f... weight and deliberately come in way overweight like Salido did last weekend, but that's clearly not the case here. Canelo did everything he could to make weight and missed it by only one pound.
