So is this how boxing's going to work from now on?

Talking about Floyd, right?Your talking about a guy that won his first "title" at JMW by fighting an unranked WW at a catchweight and didn't even make the weight himself. Then he defended his title several times against....well........welterweights. And then he finally fought a ranked JMW, in Texas, with open scoring with scorecards that were filled out before the opening bell rang. Then he got the biggest payday of his life in a fight where he lost every single round.
So yeah, this just adds to the continuing list of bull**** that has been going on with a certain fighter in this sport for years.Comment

This! I guess they need to sell something marketable like this bum. Not buying this **** on principle.Your talking about a guy that won his first "title" at JMW by fighting an unranked WW at a catchweight and didn't even make the weight himself. This is becoming a big problem. Any money paid to the boxer for continuing with the fight even though his opponent did not make weight should come from the fighter who didn't make weights purse and not the promoter. At least this would motivate the fighters to make weight or at least not sign contracts at a weight they don't have to make.
If I were a manager and my fighter made weight and his opponent chose not to, I would pull my fighter out rather than enter the fight with an unfair advantage. An advantage which is sometimes known by the fighter when the contract was signed.Last edited by TBear; 03-07-2014, 09:36 PM.Comment

****'s disgusting. It happened with Broner, Mikey Garcia didn't even bother shedding the weight, Salido said **** it, Brandon Rios was notorious at the end of his 135 run.. I mean damn, I know there's more but what's the point on complaining? This **** just disappoints me as a fan.
How in the hell can Canelo go to the opposition, inform them that he's having issues, then expect Angulo to have an agreement of a max weigh in on Saturday? ****'s straight up bananasComment
