I think any slick fighter beats him, I have actually met him and like him but when he fights a boxer who handles his power we'll he'll lose, I think he relies on his power to much, I love to watch him but he isn't quite ready he needs to sharpen his skills

I thought he boxed pretty impressively after getting shook early against sot Karass...his movement was good and he finished the job with his excellent power. He has to improve of course but honestly who outside of Floyd, manny,Tim would he be an underdog against at 147?

Thurman could be really good. I just want to see him fight better competition before I get too excited.

But whats with all the hype?

He is obviously upcoming and good, with his knockout ratio he is also regarded as a KO artist, but people seem to forget that a fighter like Danny Garcia (Who I am extremely impressed by and believe is severely underrated as he proved me wrong time and time again) doesn't get the same sort of hype? even though he is more proven.

Don't get me wrong it's not my dislike for Thurmans poor attitude outside of the ring that makes my arguement but I highly doubt he is being avoided, the below fighters would fight this guy without being branded as duckers in an instance,

Ruslan Provodnikov (shame about the ****ing cold war)
Danny Garcia (if he went unto 147)
            Lucas Matthysse
            Frankie Gavin
            Josesito Lopez
            Randall Bailey
            Shawn Porter
            Breidis Prescott
            Diego Chaves
            Yoshihero Kamigai

I am yet to see how his chin holds up too against the like of Ruslan, Lucas, and Bailey as he was momentarily rocked by Soto Karass
He was also momentarily rocked by Chaves. Both guys " rocked" him but in reality, he barely budged, his legs didn't give out. No big deal.

You should more concerned with how the people he is fighting chins are holding up. Because he seems to be knocking them all senseless.

Every KO I've seen, has been pretty brutal from this guy, mix that with good boxing, good defense or whatever you said in your sentence and THAT sir is what all the hypes about.

Dont see any crazy hype but the fact the floyds last 2 WW opponents and a current title holder have clearly avoided him says something. His peers clearly think hes really good

I won't annoint him until he accomplishes a little more to earn it. But he passes the eye test, looks well rounded to me.
