Exactly, they put together a good card but due to circumstances beyond their control things didn't go as planned.

TR on the other hand would have given us Alvarez-Thompson caliber fights on the undercard right from the start.

I still don't understand why the arrest happened now if the issue dates back to 2007 or whenever and he's been able to travel and fight many times since then.

It is odd...coming from the UK I don't always get the way that that Individual State laws can override those of the Union, but I'd have to guess (from the article) that someone expedited (or suggested the expedition) of Molinas warrant. Presumably he could have been arrested at any time since 2007/9 in any states than had the appropriate co-lateral agreemennts, but yet it was decided that now was the appropriate time -

This either suggests that Carlos was either unaware of said warrant but somehow fortuitously never strayed over 7 years into a jurisdiction which would enforce it,

Or...was aware of the warrant but (for whatever reason) believed it was not going to be enforced on this occasion - despite having presumably previously avoided a number of states in which he could potentially have been arrested in the intervening period.

A little odd (or a little su****ious) either way. OTOH whilst now a totally reformed individual (...ahem) I was caught up with by 6 year old warrant from my misspent youth a few years ago, so it does happen...

Sometimes you just forget about these things. LOL.

Fat Dan quotes Margules as saying that Molina due to the felony is no longer a resident of the US and is technically an illegal alien. After agreeing to be deported and sneaking back into the states it's supposed to be a 10 year sentence.

Margules also says that this was all known to Molina after the first Chavez jr fight.

Hey my bro . As soon as Thompson was announced as the opponent I was wishing it was going to be televised. I also really wanted to see Canelo's brother on his brother's undercard to see how he would rise up to the occasion. This right here is a crossroads type of fight for him.

Canelo wouldn't make weight and two main undercard bouts cancelled. Suddenly i have 60 extra dollars to spend this weekend.
