Stylistically he doesn't match up well against other ATG like Foreman, or Lewis but overall I'd never bet against him against many other ATG HWs. Overrated? Not in this world.
Joe Frazier - too OVERRATED!?

To be honest, when I look at the resume of those you mentioned, Ellis, Quarry, etc., they just don't seem to be special. I mean, remove Ali from Frazier's resume and all of a sudden, modern boxers like Froch got an obviously better resume. His win over Ali is quite simply one of the greatest wins anybody in the history of the sport has... take that out and his resume still pisses over most other fighters ... Ellis, Bonavena, Quarry, Foster etc.
He got blown out by foreman ... marciano, tyson or anybody with that style gets blown out by foreman.
Frazier is a legit ATG and it's not up for dispute.
Sure the Frazier victims are not just being hyped up today to make it seem like better wins for Frazier?Last edited by Xpert; 03-07-2014, 12:42 PM.Comment

Disagree. The only fighters in the last 25 years that I would favor - or call a toss-up - with Frazier are (in chronological order) Tyson, Bowe, Lewis, VK and WK. All big guys.
Holyfield would put up a great fight but would be smoked. (no pun intended) Haye would be beat down or run or get hurt and postpone the fight.
Tua, Peters, Bruno, Ruddock, Morrison, McCall, Moorer, Povetkin, Rahman, would all fall to Frazier. The ONLY one in the above list that I would give a shot would be a prime Tua.Comment
