Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe that Sergio still has 2 fights left on the 3 fight deal he signed with HBO starting after the Chavez Jr. fight. That would make it almost impossible to make a Canelo fight if he beats Cotto.
Cotto had the chance to fight Canelo and turned down $10 million to do so because he thought Martinez would be an easier fight coming off an injury and long layoff.
Canelo/Cotto in NY would be a big time PPV.
After Canelo teaches El Perro to roll over in the ring tomorrow we will see how Lara stacks up seeing as how Angulo dropped Lara twice and could have ended the fight if not for being thumbed.

No its not the truth. Rigo could have put agbeko away in impressive fashion and found his way back on HBO in no time. He chose to take no chances and that's why hes at where hes at. Lara is willing to face everybody. He said he is willing to fight even GGG in another weight. He said he is willing to fight Molina or whoever. Lets behind the excuses and fight. This is the sport. Stop the protectionism and star making good fights. This Canelo-Angulo fight is not the best. I won't pay for it but I know that everybody will do it. I want the best possibles fight. That's what I'll pay for. Not the fight between the one's just lost.

There is practically nobody Rigo can fight at 122 ATM over at top rank beside Kiko or someone else and you don't see him dying to fight other champions he also wants big money fights. All these Cubans want big money fights and they haven't fought any world champs its ridiculous. So if anybody is avoiding them its the promoters avoiding them with their ridiculous demands. I admit I want to see Canelo face Lara in the near future but Canelo is far from a coward.

He just fought Trout (undefeated at the time), Mayweather and now Angulo. Plus he wants to face the Martinez/Cotto winner next. That is a solid run for any fighter.
