Lara and some others talented boxers born in a communist country where HBO is not accessible to the Cubans and the Miami Cubans fans are not enough by themselves to move huge profits. This lack of fan base is his main sin as some others fighters. What evidence? Lara looked horrible against Molina and Vanrs. He went life and death with Angulo. It wasn't like he dominated him. And yes he did beat Trout but so did canelo. And canelo did it while Trout was undefeated.

I've already explained why he prefers to fight Angulo. Despite the monetary value of the fight Canelo is coming off an embarrassing loss. No its not the truth. Rigo could have put agbeko away in impressive fashion and found his way back on HBO in no time. He chose to take no chances and that's why hes at where hes at. How can you blame it on Bob? And as for Gamboa, that woman beater PED user also put himself there. He ruined his body with steroids and now he goes life and death with Filipino fisherman, his mikey cry for a fight is just a look for a payday. Just like Lara is looking for a payday. Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe that Sergio still has 2 fights left on the 3 fight deal he signed with HBO starting after the Chavez Jr. fight. That would make it almost impossible to make a Canelo fight if he beats Cotto.
Cotto had the chance to fight Canelo and turned down $10 million to do so because he thought Martinez would be an easier fight coming off an injury and long layoff.
Canelo/Cotto in NY would be a big time PPV.
After Canelo teaches El Perro to roll over in the ring tomorrow we will see how Lara stacks up seeing as how Angulo dropped Lara twice and could have ended the fight if not for being thumbed.
