I'd like to see him fight Cotto, it seems logical, he's fought his brother, now time for the real deal. . . . If Cotto beats Martinez that is

And would Lara's 10 fans criticize him for taking the money fight instead of the more deserving fight?

But for now just state that Lara is being ducked by Canelo and by far he is a much better boxer, likem Rigo is much better than everyone else in 122 and 126 but he is without fan base. Canelo will be hunted no by me, by the journalist on every press conference as he has been since he decided to fight Angulo and no one can claim to be the best while Rigo is in his weight.
If Adamek could find plenty of fans of polish descent to support him so van Lara.

This is true with Mayweather, but for sure a Canelo-Lara fight will get a lot of profits after this tale and comparable to the one will be rise tomorrow. For sure Lara is not the best fighter in the world, but his style is suitable to win Canelo. For me all the evidence point to that reason because there onece your argument of the purse is not logical to me the only logical explanation is the ducking
So what evidence? The fact you dislike Canelo?
I've already explained why he prefers to fight Angulo. Despite the monetary value of the fight Canelo is coming off an embarrassing loss. Nothing wrong with him getting a winnable fight for his next bout. And nothing new since plenty of fighters have done this. But again because of your utter dislike for Canelo you criticize.Last edited by JJRod; 03-07-2014, 01:56 PM.

There's no comparison. Our only point is that Cubans have a huge tradition in boxing and one of the best school of boxers. So they must open their path fighting, like Lara is defying Canelo and Gamboa Mickey and Rigo defying Arum. That's the truth man

Mexican can be like 50 MM or something in USA plus near 100MM in Mexico where so many can pay for the fight or see it in boxing Azteca. Even the second reachest man in the world is Mexican. Due to this fan base GB is having so many success with Mexican boxers.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe that Sergio still has 2 fights left on the 3 fight deal he signed with HBO starting after the Chavez Jr. fight. That would make it almost impossible to make a Canelo fight if he beats Cotto.
Cotto had the chance to fight Canelo and turned down $10 million to do so because he thought Martinez would be an easier fight coming off an injury and long layoff.
Canelo/Cotto in NY would be a big time PPV.
After Canelo teaches El Perro to roll over in the ring tomorrow we will see how Lara stacks up seeing as how Angulo dropped Lara twice and could have ended the fight if not for being thumbed.
