Oh shut up. These are big $ fights against legit competition. Angulo, Cotto and Martinez are not easy fights for anybody.

I saw this coming a mile away. GGG is going to have to wait because there's no way Martinez is going to turn down a Canelo bout. He'd be a damn fool if he did.

Rumor has it that Golden Boy is trying to kiss and make up with HBO.

If Golden Boy offered up say Canelo Alvarez in a huge fight on HBO with Martinez, I would find it hard for HBO to say, nah we'll pass.

Um, can you dispute what I stated as opposed to bringing up a make-believe, cop-out excuse of a cold war that GBP is mostly responsible for (in respect to HBO)?

Make believe? So when Ken Hershman said, "were not dealing with GB, we will do business with promoters that have similar goals in mind" or something like that, that was make believe? Was it a shared hallucination that somehow made it to print, digital media AND into all sane boxing fans minds?

Oh yeah, its also funny that this imaginary, make-believe thing, is somehow mostly GB's fault while simultaneously not existing.

I never saw those rumors, but it would be a hell of a gesture to go that route, but it would also be disrespectful to Showtime. The two companies lots are pretty much cast together, and then GB hands one of the biggest PPV's of the year to HBO? That would be bad business.

GB has their own network now, that is doing them big favors, it would be ****** to side with the network that threw them off just because they got caught up in their feelings. The situation is too thick for them to do an event that big together right now. I believe if they are really trying to make that move, it will be baby steps first

Martinez isn't really an option for Canelo. let's say IF Martinez beats Cotto, he'll still have 1 more fight left on his HBO contract. Schaefer isn't going to let Canelo fight on an HBO PPV.

GBP runs Showtime Boxing so why would they put one of the biggest fights they could make on a rival network? and yes Espinoza is a GBP puppet

so honestly Martinez would have to fight Cotto and probably Golovkin just to fulfill his HBO contract.

I don't care what anybody says but having to beat Cotto and GGG AND he's almost 40 with a bad knee....

I'm a Martinez fan but that's a lot to ask for the old man.

Lara fans are trying to "khan" their way into a big fight. Anyone in Canelos position would do the same thing. (If he win of course)

The Lara-Khan comparison isn't a very good one. Buts its still funny as hell
