Canelo got 1.2 million against Mosley and 2 million against Lopez. Canelo must be getting all of the PPV money for this fight I guess.

Golden Boy is probably just being conservative with the guarantee and have low baseline # of buys in case it fails because it's his first PPV as the A-side. Chances are he'll make a ton more.

It takes two popular fighters to make a great PPV. If you don't think Canelo had anything to do with the success of the Mayweather vs. Canelo PPV then you're crazy.

Further evidence that this fight should NOT be on PPV! Canelo may have the Mexican fan base, but apparently some of them don't feel that he's worth PPV dollars right now. Angulo isn't making fans jump for joy either.

That's a great payday for both Canelo and Angulo, it's also cool that the amounts they are getting are not super far off from each other. I do feel that Nihito Arakawa and Jorge Linares desserve a little more because I have a feeling that their fight will be one of the most action packed, plus with Arakawa's performance against Omar Figueroa he earned a higher check in my opinion.

He's been marketed as the biggest star from Mexico, yes even of Juan Marquez and Julio Chavez Jr. Yet, hes not making as much as them.
