    .

Cottto's out of his mind. He was bullying Floyd post to post whilst with Pac And Marg he was kd seveal times and black n blue at the end of it and he says Floyd was the harder fight? Masochist or in denial?

Why does it matter who he says his toughest fight was? Most fighters name a fighter they rather than a fighter they lost to when asked this question anyway. Typically to make themselves look better for beating the "best" fighter they ever fought in their own eyes.

Gets hated on for the dumbest things

It's still technically a handicap.. if you've ever had to cut weight for sports you'd understand the draining/sapping sensation one feels when things get physical. The glass chin Cotto possessed at 140 is a good example.
You have to remember as you age your metabolism slows down, at this point Cotto was on the verge of breaking into a full junior middleweight. In fact he jumped up a weight class right after as making WW had become too taxing. Even when he fought as a junior welterweight and struggled to get down to 140, on fight night he'd always re hydrate back to his full 154-155 cap allowing him somewhat of a power edge against the smaller guys.

On the plus hand, the benefit of weight control is that it attunes your senses to high alert and allows for higher concentration since your body recognizes it's more vulnerable. Too bad awareness alone couldn't help Cotto deal with Pacquiao's speed. The Mayweather fight was only mentally exhausting...

Someone brings up Mayweather giving Cotto the luxury of fighting in his comfort zone at Junior MW to which Cotto agrees, basically saying if he'd been allowed to prepare himself the way he had against Floyd, the Manny fight would've been a different affair.
So when Cotto weighed in at 146 for his previous fight, he wasn't in his comfort zone? When he weighed in at 146.25 for Mosley, he wasn't in his comfort zone? Or how about when he weighed 146.5 for Gomez?

Other than Cotto and JMM, what other WW's have had to face MP at a catchweight?

I believe him....Cotto hasn't been dominated like that sense....if you think Pac would've still beat him without the cw, there's nothing wrong with that....but if you think it would still be that one sided, then that's where it's something wrong....I think Cotto is better than what we saw against Pac....that's just me though!!....if Pac fought Cotto at 154 I doubt it would be a replay of their first fight...not saying Pac wouldn't win but I think it's a totally different fight imo
At weigh-in, Cotto said "I'm too big and STRONG for Manny"

Post-fight interview "He was just too fast .... I couldn't see the punches coming"

NOTHING about weight issues. Now years later, different story.

There's a reason cotto drains himself down to 140-147 though. It's cause he enjoys a significant size advantage at those weights. Against guys who didn't start at flyweight. So acting like those 2 pounds are the reason he got his **** pushed in is just lame as ****. I still like cotto though and it's pretty much impossible to name a single fighter that is honest about their own fights anyway.

Not only that, Cotto was asked directly and Cotto responded by laughing and saying, it will be no problem as he came in at 146 against Clottey in his previous fight.

I would excuse one of my most humiliating defeats too, especially since that one was legitimate.
