We should all be excited for Gamboa-Juanma if it gets made this year. Yup.

Jr. is a big tough dude and Sergio couldn't really hurt him.
It won't be surprising to see Chavez stopped, with a defence like that its bound to happen sooner or later.

I never called it a meaningful fight or hyped up the win so STFU.

Just because some guys on a form hype up a opponent it doesn't make the opponent any less crappy.

News flash, he does take damage just like everyone else.

Anyone that has been in the gym with both of them knows what a bad idea this is. Golovkins power is legitimately terrifying. The sound of his punches in the gym is something different than most fighters. I haven't heard anything like that since Valero was around.

Its not like other punchers. In terms of absolute punching power, there are a couple people that hit harder than him, but the scary thing about him is that EVERY since one of his punches makes a frightening sound, even when he is going light and putting together pity pat punches. Chavez will accumulate the kind of damage that Meldrick Taylor did against his dad. This fight should not be sanctioned.
Yea boxing is a messed up sport, totally against the grain of modern culture.

They are both in the hurt business though it is their choice and they will both be paid well.

You trade on your toughness you might end up messed up, that is why you should not do it but it can work even against fearsome punchers.

Hopefully he doesn't get hurt, but I couldn't watch boxing being worried about that sort of thing~

Oh you mean similar to how every fighter who looks like Golovkin nowadays is referred to as the "next Mattyhssee" because of those same forum guys?

Chavez has taken ggg's best shots in sparing so he knows what he can take and how much so relax these are the type of fights that define a fighter . Boxing is a beautifully brutal sport live with it or go watch soccer

Great fight. Ward fans are just upset GGG is taking the cash cow. GGG's star will rise even more, plus he gets paid.

You don't watch boxing being worried about that stuff in evenly matched fights, but this is not an evenly matched fight. You literally have a slow plodding celebrity with club fighter level skill, and perhaps the worst defense I have ever seen, against a world class fighter with terrifying power.

There is nothing scarier in this sport than someone who can take a hard shot wont go down, and is easy to hit.

Its why what happened to Mago happened to him. To say "oh they know what they are doing" is really stupid and a dangerous attitude.

That is why there are commissions and referees, fighters need to be saved from themselves on occasion, and Chavez needs saving from this.

If Chavez Jr. is up to the task this fight could be LEGENDARY. If he's not, it'll be fun while it lasts.
