styles make fights, porter beat devon the same way bradley did. used his speed, headmovement and footwork to get inside where he could swamp him with activity and make it ugly.

not a lot of fighter can do that though, like mentioned you need speed, footwork and headmovement to get inside. but also a short stocky build to get under his shots and a pitbull attitude to make it rough on him once there.

devon is still one of the better fighters at 147, better than porter too imo. but again, styles make fights.

well nobody beats floyd, unless they just have a massive size advantage or something. other than that their only chance is that floyd makes a mistake and they catch him with one big shot, at least maidana has that shot but like mentioned he will need help from floyd to land it. help he is unlikely to receive.

we are not talking about floyd though, we are talking about khan and he is no mayweather. he will all but help you land that shot as well, he will slip up yu just have to be ready to capitalize. i dont even feel maidana needs the one hitter quitter to beat khan though, i think he can beat him up one round at a time for however long that wet paper bag khan calls a chin holds up

Coulda sworn you were a khan guy... Oh well

Improved, different.. We are arguing Semantics.

Maidana landed about the same amount of jabs on khan in 12 rounds that he landed on Lopez in 6. numbers have changed a bit... But more importantly, form has changed. Just look at how he throws his jab now.

You're saying Maidana's boxing skills haven't improved? Robert tought him how to control his aggression. Also Devon fkin Alexander kicked his arse prior to him joining up with Robert.

Maidana's technique has improved a lot since he fought Khan and he is on a roll right now with a lot of momentum behind him. Khan does not look comfortable with the changes he is making with Hunter and has not returned to anything that resembles form since the Peterson fight and right now does not come over as confident.
When you consider the first fight was tight I feel momentum and the fact that Maidana has improved to be the deciding factors and would expect him to win if they fought again.

It's Amazing how Alexander Khan and Maidanas careers turned out.
Alexander Khan and Kotelnik hold a win over Maidana.
Khan holds a win over Maidana and Kotelnik
Alexander holds a win over Maidana and Kotelnik(controversial)
Maidana is currently the champion at 147 and has improved under Garcia.
Alexander has lost his belt at 147 and has fallen into irrelevancy
Amir Khan hasn't even fought legitimately at 147 and has been on the decline.

To answer your question, no I do not think Khan could pull it off again, Maidana would exploit Khans weak defense, rush him worse than Broner and his punch resistance seems non-existent.

i think he was irrelevant even when was a champion.

He was hurt to the hip by the same hook that broke Ortiz's big ass jaw.

Devon can have pop... He just shoe shines too much. Remember when he stopped Juan urango? A guy prime Ricky could only decision, and actually had fits with.

Getting buzzed and getting hurt and dropped are two different things, and shouldn't be compared
