If Khan Maidana go at it again....do you see Khan pulling it off again?

Lol did you see the last fight guys, maidana was hurt bad in the first round by a body shot which probably made him like 40% for the rest of the fight and he still walked through everything else Khan had and had him running like a chicken and doing the chicken dance begging the ref for help ha

What fight were you watching? The way you've phrased that makes it sound one-sided.

My bad. I guess I must've imagined the stretches of rounds where Khan had his gloves pinned to his temples, while Peterson landed hooks to the body and uppercuts to his fragile chin. The only reason glass didn't shatter that night is because Lamont isn't a puncher. And yet, the threat of his volume punching had Amir gracefully retreating in full speed, at times. That's what happens when one guy is adept at fighting on the inside, and the other is Amir Khan.

Just from a quick look at the average amount of punches/jabs thrown p/round, there's not much difference.

Against Khan: c.mid 70s / c.30 jabs
Against Lopez: c.mid 60s /c.30 jabs
Against Broner: c.80 / c.30 jabs

Seriously? He was pawing with the jab against khan. Don't know why you have Lopez in there it ended in the 6th. From Broner to khan he threw a total of 200+ more punches. And the jab has become much more authoritative.

chino improved tremendously, his punches are shorter, more accurate and well timed, his D is tighter (albeit still far from great), he has much more variety with his punches, his combinations flow better, he gets himself in better shape, he got himself a pretty decent jab, uses more feints and just all around does a better job of setting up and executing his power punches.

its a completely different animal, khan meanwhile hasnt improved at all. all he did is take more punishment and slip further into his delusional fantasy world where he deserves a mayweather fight, just got unlucky in all his losses and everyone is avoiding him.

I'm not a Khan fan, bud, and those figures are from a quick glance. I just grabbed the average punches thrown/jabs per round in Maidana's two most recent fights and put them against Khan.

Some prat a few pages back was trying to make out that Maidana has evolved, and is now on 'another level'. He's improved, sure, i'll grant you that, but to make out that he's a different beast is moronic.

Chino would win a rematch.

In the first fight Maidana didn't respect Amir Khan's power; he was walking close to him without a jab and paid for it.

The new Maidana would respect Khan early while he's fresh and dangerous. Just look at how he respected Adrien Broner in round one, with a good jab.

Also Maidana would cut off the ring better.

Another thing, he has improved footwork (i.e. keeps balance and punching position at all times like Gennady Golovkin). Before Chino was with trainer Robert Garcia he would just walk up to his opponent -- literally walk forward. Crossing your feet is a big no-no in boxing. Chino doesn't do that anymore!

And another thing, Maidana jabs beautifully. Notice whenever Maidana lands a jab a big power shot soon follows -- that's not a mistake; that's by design!

Another reason I feel Maidana would beat Khan: Amir Khan is not in his prime anymore. Khan's last "prime" fight was back when he KO'd Zab Judah. That Khan was really good.

The first two have improved, although not markedly. The latter is dependent on who he's in the ring with and their style. He'll 'execute' very little against Mayweather.
