He throws the jab more for one. Throws more punches overall..check compubox numbers over his career if you do not take my word for it.

Going deeper he has added some defensive moves to his repertoire. He leverages his punches better due to working off of the jab more. He has developed his wild brawling style to be more effective.. And even unveiled a very impressive rangey and straight 1-2 or 1-1-2. He can also tighten or loosen his overhand right as needed. has learned to be a bull in the clinch, and to cut off the ring better. These are nuances that have markably improved if you have any kind of eye for it.

Two things that remain the same are his power and that he has the heart of a lion. But he IS a learning fighter.

I know Khan fans are loathe to admit Maidana has improved since Khan sc****d by the guy, but this is ridiculous.

Khan would be on ***** street as soon as Maidana lands a single punch.

Even if Maidana didn't know how to deal with the clinches it wouldn't matter. Khan has never shown an ability to tie anyone up when hurt.

He covers up, takes punishment, then tries to shove the opponent off him to create space and run. Problem is that allows his opponent space to get momentum and attack him again and once his legs are gone and he cant run he is largely defenseless. The Peterson fight being the best example.

Khan never had much of a chin to begin with and it's gotten worse, he doesn't last against this more refined/ not as refined as many make him out to be Maidana.

I agree. He was in full retreat for stretches of the Peterson fight, which made Lamont look like Margarito by comparison. I remember him spouting some nonsense about being "the cleaner fighter" or something, but he did whatever it took to keep Peterson off him. He has ZERO inside game to speak of, which is why a more technically skilled version of Maidana will get to him a lot quicker in a rematch.

What about the several landed punches and the times he actually got hurt by Alexander. LOL....he got hurt by Devon Alexander and Jose Lopez yet people **** on Khan for getting dropped by Diaz.

I would say the buttload of Testosterone that Peterson had injected had something to do with that.

This version of Chino? I like Maidana, he's an entertaining fighter who can ****, but I haven't seen any notable development in his style.
