For the record, Floyd says that Khan saying he was sent a contract was a lie in a recent video.

Or is Maidana a different Kat now than he was then??

        what say you?
Tbh first fight was not even close,Khan won first 9 rounds flush (no doubt in that) also scored a Knock down in round1 had that round been 20 sec's longer Khan would've stopped Maidana there.. I see Khan winning if they fight Khan, hoping Khan puts an improved performance.

A blown up light welterweight? Nah he was coming down from 154 and before that he upset Victor Ortiz at 147.
he went from 140 to 147 to 154 in two fights then went back down to 147 for his next, the guy looked flabby couldn't have been good for his body, and he barley won his next fight where he got dropped by a no name, looking back all he did was make Ortiz quit which if you look at his career isn't the hardest thing to do

Maidana has only "improved" because he's fought fighters who have suited his style and stood in front of him. I guess everyone forgot that Devon fkin Alexander kicked his arse not so long go

He did more than make him quit, He broke Ortiz jaw with a nicely placed hook...

It was the 100+ clinches mostly. As a learning fighter, Maidana has something for a clincher now. You disagree?

I don't see how anyone can possibly say Maidana is not improved. To say that would essentially be admitting you have no evaluation skills when it comes to boxing, and you should stick to cheerleading.

Khan has regressed, Maidana would win by mid rd TKO.

The shot that dropped him against JD came out of nowhere from his perspective. It was sharp and fast and he was down before he knew what happened. Chino is slower when he throws, and at that point he was exhausted and telegraphing his shots even more because of it. I guess that's what made the difference.

I think it was Danny Garcia who spoke about Khan's own recklessness being the best antidote to Khan's speed. It's not that his chin is utterly useless, it's that his wildness and defensive sloppiness allows opponents to blindside him with shots that he doesn't anticipate.

When Chino was hunting him in that round, he knew what was coming. When he got nailed against Diaz and DG, he hadn't a clue.

what new skills does he have? this "2.0" version of Maidana has yet to face a boxer with footwork so how can you say he's improved if these are the kind of fighters he would have beat before changing trainers, he still brawls and gets hit and gets hurt watch his fight against Ortiz then watch Lopez same guy

Maidana's definitely an improved fighter since getting with Garcia.

It's nothing drastic but he's definitely improved overall.

His punches are shorter and sharper, his head movement is clearly better, his use of a jab is more frequent.

                      He's definitely improved.
