It's not even called the Philly shell, you ****ing ******. It's a basic cross-arm defense that was known as "the crab" until EA Sports started calling it the Philly shell in the fight night video game series.
Anytime someone calls it the Philly shell you're basically announcing to the world that you knew nothing about boxing until you played "fight night."
