Lomachenko remained humble in 'defeat' but any boxing fan who isn't biased should acknowledge that Laurence Cole the referee who was also present for Maidana vs Broner is by far the worst referee in boxing and was the prime reason Salido got his win.

I agree with Larry here. It's a combat sport after all, things are bound to get ugly. Lomachenko didn't complain or whine once. Fighters know the type of sport this is, it gets personal and it gets ugly.

There is nothing pretty or sweet about fighting.

Also, if a fighter allows the other to abuse him with dirty tactics, it's his own fault. You either retaliate or you choose to be a fool and allow the abuse.

He's too much of a gentlemen in the ring. If you don't want to hit him back at least do some acting. Go to the floor and make the ref do something to take points.

I know some boxing referees and they will never take points and impact the outcome of the fight if they don't have to.

Salido was throwing low blows at first because his head was being pushed down and thats where they where landing, but the guy was smart after the ref didnt say **** about that i think he figured he would throw body shots carefree because the ref was sleeping on it. Garcia was not systematically throwing low blows as a strategy, but this is pro boxing it gets rough sometimes.

I wouldn't even wait for the ref. Most miss a ton of fouls anyway. You deal one for every one you get and the motherfucker knows what's up. I had some things to say about Danny going south a little too often in the Matthysse fight, but I also said Lucas was ultimately to blame for not retaliating. It's a damn fight. So, fight back!

Salido threw about 40 low blows while Danny threw 6.... Uhhh those numbers are slightly different.
That said I don't knock Salido for winning. If the ref did a bad job it's not Salidos fault.
Lomo had his questionable tactics too... Ref did nothing.

If they start acting up and pointing it out to refs, they're accused of showing weakness.

Ultimately, the refs have got to take control. If they don't, we are simply going to get more fighters coming into fights with pre-meditated plans to go low, like Garcia and Salido did (IMHO).

What you're saying is correct but that's not the way it works. Laurence Cole does not take points unless there is something extreme like an ear biting incident or an intentional headbutt like Maidana/Broner.

Cole after that fight even said that his goal is to not have an impact on the scoring of the fight and he wants to be as little involved as possible.

Is not a controlled gentlemen setting like an the amateurs. Pro referees let them fight and if you notice your opponent getting away with stuff, get yourself a piece of cake and ice cream as well.
