  • Comments Thread For: CompuBox: Salido With 300 More Power Shots Than Loma

Props to Orlando Salido for taking the fight to Vasyl Lomachenko all night by throwing 300 more power shots. Lomachenko lost the fight, but two questions arise? Why was no cap placed on amount of weight Salido could regain after failing to make 126-lb limit by more than 2 lbs? And why wasn't Salido warned more than once by ref Lawrence Cole for repeated low blows throughout the fight?

Loma wasn't complaining about the low blows. So... maybe they weren't?

Still, it speaks highly of Loma, big class.

And Salido? All that holding that Lomachenko was doing. Salido didn't complain about that. The fact that Salido was low rated and under estimated, taken for granted, he didn't complain about that. He fought his fight and it was even more nasty than I knew it would be. Lomachenko lost, class didn't help him, what he needs is experience.

            Yet again...

It's disrespectful how poor they think of this guy.

Lomachenko did a lot of holding, the ref was embarrassing (as usual) for both fighters.

It is embarrassing that so called fans are defended incompetent referees and blatant cheating.

Maybe fighters need to cancel fights when their opponents come in over the agreed limit then sue their opponent for loss in earnings.

That might stop this worrying trend in pro boxing.

Does a power shot to "gentleman's area" count double?
