i'm also a fan (even more so after last night)...he fought well for only his second pro fight and showed a lot of class during and after the fight...salido is trash though (did everything in the book to cheat loma...wouldn't be surprised if he was roiding again either).

I have never been a fan nor was I inclined to last night, however, I respect his effort. I loved the way he gave it his all during that 12th round. Also, you just have to respect the fact that he decided not to ride out the hype wave longer and went straight for the real ones to test himself. I admire and respect that.

I am a Salido fan and I expected last night's outcome even though Salido looked his age last night. That was not the same Salido from the Juanma wars. However, I came out of it knowing Lomachenko is the superior fighter but he was lost last night due to his lack of experience. He was hesitant to throw and wasn't prepared for the scenarios he encountered last night.

Salido did his thing though, tough veteran fighter. He outworked Lomachenko.

It was a semi-impressive performance for only his second pro fight and he did come on really strong at the end but overall, the hype wagon was a little ahead of him from what I saw. He's not as skilled, fast or powerful as everyone made him out to be.

That said, to give a guy like Solido hell like that in his second pro fight says volumes about his learning curve and he can be a force if the proper steps are taken from here on out. Mikey G. would have sparked him last night.

In fact, he did the opposite of complain. Maybe you had a hard time with the translation on the HBO telecast or something.

            I'm impressed with his attitude/mentality.

While I think he won, I'm not impressed with his skill yet. He has shown nothing to any extent that sets him apart from Contender/Paper champ status to being World Class.

Top Rank and Arum was trying too hard to make Lomochenko a star which I believe Lomo wanted the fight and make history so props to him and also he went the full 12 in his 2nd pro fight.

Salido being the spoiler said **** Lomo, Top Rank and Arum. Came over weight on purpose because he knew he would of been stopped if he made 126lb which was everybody thought would of happen but Salido I won't be the sacrificial lamb and came in as a welterweight haha. I put some $$$ on Salido and it was easy $$$ especially after he didn't make weight

Who was hiring Cole to help facilitate a Salido win? Top Rank were clearly positioning Lomachenko to be their next big star, so why have him lose on the biggest stage? It makes no sense. I just think it was complete incompetence.

Well balanced thoughts from a fan, good to see. Yes, Salido showed just how wiley he could be, he was dirty last night but he made it count.

If Lomachenko had won last night, would you view him as a paper champ?

Well im on the fence about how long, or if ever he will be translate his amateur great effective style to be competitive at the top pro level. He also seemed a little jittery maybe nerves got to him? Which is very fking weird with a guy who has fought everybody you would expect him to be like Rigo against everyone like this -____- but he looked kind of puzzled and jittery I lost some bets, but i cant say that i thought what happened was impossible Salido is a rough guy.

Rigondeaux is a counter puncher who guys get shy against when they get hit back he is not offensive minded unless he hurts a guy, if guys dont throw it can get dull, but everyone here hyped Lomachenko as this offensive unstoppable machine, and that was not the case that's why it was boring. The guy is not done tho he is young and hopefully can take a step back and away from the hype and work in his pro style longer.
