    Terence Crawford appreciation thread

Any boxer who travels to another country and takes a world title from the home fighter deserves respect.

Crawford didn't let the home crowd get to him, he kept his cool and outboxed the more experienced Burns, winning by a wide and clear margin so they couldn't give a gift decision to the home fighter.

    Props to Terence Crawford!

He's for real. The lightweight division at least has a couple interesting matches. Vazquez/Crawford could be really interesting. Maybe not one people want to actually watch but interesting lol.

Crawford showed he has a good head on his shoulders, as he was unaffected by the hostile environment. He fought intelligently throughout the fight, being cautious in the early rounds, but becoming more aggressive after feeling Burns out.

Mental strength is a vital component of a successful career.

I think he is a 100% complete fighter. If there are questions that remain, it would be how he handles an inside fight, It may be the one part of his game that iseither missing or has not been brought to the surface, how he handles adversity, being cut, hurt, things like that. He doesn't look extremely strong physically but that is not a real negative. He does have a complete set of skills.

Agreed. I was waiting for somebody to give him props for travelling as much as Ward and Broner get criticized for it.

tim Bradley did this, with junior witter

if his career is as good as tims, Crawford could be on a good journey

It was long overdue, Burns was an illegitimate champion.

He was fighting on the inside the whole fight basically, Burns wasn't coming forward and tried to box him from the outside with a jab. Watch his other fights and you will see he has an inside game a well when fighters actually try to fight him.

He kind of reminds me of an early Mayweather in style, I'm surprised thread starter likes him. Mayweather use to switch stances and fight effectively at the lower weights. Terence is taller by an inch and his reach is longer by an inch.. He should be the successor if he stays dedicated. Also he deserves big names now but I'm afraid Top Rank will try to preserve the other guys and keep him having to do things like this which can turn out interesting in itself.

Good fighter but I don't see anything special.

He won the fight though clearly and in the Lion's Den so he get's props for that.

Would like to see him face Vasquez though it's likely a snoozer.
