    WTF!?

"We came in to put on pressure and we did," Vera said. "I saw the same fighter. He wasn't any better. I hurt my hand in the fourth round and got away from the jab a little. I found out four days ago that it was a 12-round fight (due to a contract snafu). We trained for 10 rounds. It's always something when we come to these f------ fights.

Yeah I thought this. It's hardly the only reason.

Plus dont most people train beyond the round schedule of their fight? Like you sometimes hear "I've been sparring 15 rounds" or whatever. It's pretty surprising that someone would only train for the exact amount of rounds they are scheduled for.

Once I saw Chavez Jr. Walking to the ring with that WWE Intercontinetal Champion belt (pretend-o, fake, made up champion) I knew it was a 12-round fight.

With that being said, it doesn't ****ing matter because this time around you could argue that Chavez Jr shut him out. It if it was 5 rounds if it was 8 rounds, 10...it doesn't matter because at no point in the fight was Vera ever winning on the cards.

I think I only have him 3 rounds (possibly 4) and I was rooting for him and predicted he would pull off the upset.

Plain and simple Chavez just out worked him in this fight. Out hustled him, out punched him, beat him this time.

Sucks he got shafted last fight, and it was a bogus point deduction, the ref was ****ing up his rhythm early IMO.

Shouldn't that be on the contract?

It was always a 12 round fight, it was a huge blunder on the part of Vera's team.

"Who cares?" Anyone who has ever made a plan to pace themselves for a certain amount of rounds cares. Junior's camp is one of the shadiest camps in boxing. Vera's right-it IS always something with that guy. But Vera still got a different Junior and it showed no matter what he says. Junior was a lot more aggressive and committed to the body a lot more. It was a good fight but he clearly won. He is a good fighter.
