You can understand Harold Lederman’s bias — he’s a New York native. But HBO’s longtime ringside scorer also has other reasons for wishing that Floyd Mayweather’s upcoming fight with Marcos Maidana would land in Yankees Stadium.

BoxingScene.com: What do you think about Floyd Mayweather choosing to fight Marcos Maidana instead of Amir Khan?
Lederman: “Obviously, Maidana’s the tougher guy. You can’t take it away from him. Sensational performance against Adrien Broner. He took it right to Adrien Broner, who you know, we all considered one of the really best up-and-coming fighters in the world. Adrien Broner not only talked a good fight, he fought a good fight. And he had that welterweight title, and Maidana came along and beat him up.
