Crawford is a bad dude...

I've seen Crawford fight a couple of times and I expected him to beat Burns fairly easily. I thought that Burns was tailor made for him. Burns is a tough, strong fighter, but he doesn't have the power at world level to compensate for his average technique, and speed. On top of that there's no way he will have recovered from the broken jaw from a mental point of view more than a physical point of view to beat a guy as well rounded as Crawford.
You have to give Crawford credit for having the balls to go to the champions backyard and take the title, in an era where so few are will to do so. His composure is impressive, and he doesn't waste any energy in there, he's a very accurate puncher, and his defence, and foot work is sound. Although, it will be interesting to see what happens when a fighter comes a long who can match him and take him out of his comfort zone. There's not many at lightweight who can beat him IMO, it's a weak division at the moment, but I'd like to see him in there with someone like Vasquez, Abril, or even Jose Gonzalez. Apart from those fights I don't think there's much point in sticking around 135 for much longer.Comment

Not impressed, he seems to freestyle in there, I see a lot of technical flaws that won't be flying for long.Comment
