Not at all like JMM. JMM has been getting dropped throughout his career.

Other than his early stoppages when he was green and learning Salido barely hit the canvass throughout his career now in his last 5 fights he's been dropped several times.

Haya dropped him twice and one of those he was badly hurt. That's an obvious alarm bell.

Lopez dropped him in their second match something he couldn't in the first one.

Salido's been in war after war then he got dropped numerous times against Garcia even by Jab's at times.

I've been following Salido for many years now and it's absolutely clear as day his chin and resistance is in a rapid decline.

      Perhaps.

When Weng Haya is dropping you in the manner he did you know there's an issue there though. He's not even a hard puncher. That fight was at 130 aswell.

He still get's up and he's tough as nails and has the heart of a lion but he can't seen to avoid getting hurt/dropped these days which was something of a rareity throughout his career.

There is an obvious correlation between quality of opposition and getting KD. He faced 3 very hard punchers in juanma, Gamboa and mikey and while he did get KD a good amount, he kept coming non-stop and also won 2 of those fights by KO.

He hasn't been stopped since he was like 16, you're over exaggerating his chin to khan like levels when it's not

Hmm....2.5 lbs shouldn't be enough to make the difference, but this fight was never gonna be about the $s (in the immediate sense) so it ain't really a good look from Siri - loses the money and a 'clean' win (if he were to).

Doesn't make a significant difference to my eyes though - either Loma is the uniquely talented 'once in a generation' type of fighter who wins anyway, or he isn't and doesn't.

            Intriguing damn fight, whatever.

Where have I even implied he has a "Khan like" chin? Where have I even implied that he has a glass chin now? I've not done either of those things.

What I've said is that his chin is declining rapidly which is absolutely abundantly clear.

Juan Ma didn't drop him the first time, Gamboa (Probably the hardest puncher he's faced) was bouncing shots off him for the majority of the fight and he was taking them until the last round.

Now he's getting badly hurt by Weng Haya? What's the "obvious correlation" for that one? Because Haya is not a hard puncher.

Now he's getting dropped by a jab by Garcia. Garcia's a hard pucher but some of the shots he dropped him with weren't even solid clean punches yet in the first Lopez fight he was got hit clean and didn't blink.

Like I said it's abundantly clear that his chin is declining at a rapid pace and far away from what is was.

The fighters he faced in his most recent fights did not invent the punch. Yes, his chin is wearing out. Poor defense pressure fighters loose their punch resistance eventually.

I wouldn't say Salido has poor defense.

Obviously he gets hit and isn't difficult to find but he's skilled and has decent defensive ability coming forward.

But yeah the numerous wars he's been in are catching up to him aswell as a long career. I believe the second Lopez war took a whole lot out of him and he was already showing decline by then.

Salido doesn't come on until the later rounds, will he even have enough in the tank to do it? This is quite the dilemma.
