come on man, 38 of Canelo's first 40 fights ( minus Vasquez) were like Angulo. This will be a walk in the park for him. Still will be entertaining though. Build him back up Richard!

"Scratched cornea that resulted in a hematoma" do u really believe this bull$h!t? The cornea is on the eyeball which we couldn't see because the eye was closed. The hematoma was not on the eyeball it was above it where Lara had been punching all night ... And he did quit and I don't blame him.****inggg idiots! GOD. first of all, Angulo had a scratched cornea that resulted in a hematoma. Have any of you ever had a scratched cornea? NO, your precious boy Lara didn't " break his face". Angulo's cornea was scratched and he couldn't go on, its a freak injury, Lara didn't make nobody quit. When was the last time Lara had a highlight reel knockout? hmmm. Oh and Carlos Molina beat him. Notice how nobody mentions him, not Lara nut huggers or Lara himself. Why? Molina has a belt? doesn't he deserve a title shot all you fan boys cry about? Is Molina not a current champ? get the ****k outta here.

Alfredo Angulo explains eye injury in loss to Lara

Boxer Alfredo Angulo suffered a gruesome hemotoma over his left eye, but did not break the orbital bone as was believed earlier.
CARSON, Calif. – After Alfredo Angulo turned his back on Erislandy Lara in the middle of a highly competitive fight Saturday on Showtime, talk immediately turned to a hot-button debate in boxing: When is it OK to quit?
Angulo's grotesquely swollen eye, which he claimed was the result of a thumb from Lara (though replays seemed to indicate it resulted from a clean punch), led to speculation Angulo suffered a fractured left orbital. Many fans and observers understood him bowing out of the fight, while others were critical.
But if you ask Angulo, it was all a misunderstanding.
"I never quit. I turned to tell (trainer) Virgil (Hunter) that my eye got thumbed twice," Angulo told USA TODAY Sports on Sunday in a text message through his attorney and co-manager Lucy Haro.
"The ref (Raul Caiz. Sr.) stopped it without checking the situation or giving a count. A regular punch would not do that (damage). It's dirty fighting by Lara, again. I was following the game plan and was building the pressure. But I won the love and respect of nonbelievers, too."
Angulo (22-3, 18 KOs) dropped Lara twice in the bout, but was down on two of the three official scorecards at the time of the stoppage – 1:50 of the 10th round.
The 30-year-old Mexican was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center immediately after the fight on the advice of the ringside plastic surgeon and was discharged at 3 a.m. Pacific, Angulo's co-manager Michael Miller told USA TODAY Sports on Sunday.
Inexplicably, Angulo didn't receive an X-ray or an MRI at the hospital. It was ruled he didn't suffer any fractures or breaks.

I dont think they're gonna need a big ring with Perro coming forward and Canelo not wanting to back up.
So for everyone who still knows what a phonebooth is, this is gonna be one of those!
Great matchup, violence guaranteed... can't waitComment
