Comments Thread For: Canelo's Trainer: Angulo Might Be Harder Than Floyd Bout

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is putting the finishing touches on an intense training camp as his fight with Alfredo Angulo is less than 2 weeks away. Both Alvarez and Angulo are trying to bounce back from defeats last year which makes the stakes even higher as the winner will get himself back in the mix while the loser will suffer back to back losses for the first time in his career.

Without a doubt much more of a dangerous fight. He was thoroughly out boxed by Floyd, but never in any immediate danger. For the first time in my eyes Chepo hit it right on the money.

I think Canol batters him. He was picked specifically for that reason. Angulo will be the rebound chick.

Yea this is do or die for Angulo. We're gonna see where his heart is at in this fight, hopefully he doesn't take the Victor Ortiz route and quit again.

This bout can be harder then the floyd fight in another aspect as just physcially taxing where mayweather bout is just mentally exhausting.

Of course, it was only that way because Canelo also fought not to get hit, which was basically giving up his chances to win. Had he fought like he needed to - i.e. go to war - then he may have been in a bit more danger vs Floyd. Sadly the only danger he was in was rolling an ankle or something innocuous since his movement mainly involved moving the wrong direction, away from Mayweather.

Ugh, it really pisses me off just thinking about it. If you get the opportunity of a life time - which, at this point in Mayweather's career, facing him is - then you go out on your ****ing shield rather than roll over, fighting like a coward.

I think he's got heart but he's just outgunned on this one, speed, head movement. Golden Boy cant have Canelo lose 2 straight. Yeah, its gonna be a beatdown. How many rounds will it go? Im going with 6.
