It’s looking increasingly likely that London-based Irishman Andy Lee could be up next for WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. Negotiations have been progressing steadily, with an announcement possibly coming as early next week. Madison Square Garden has been tabbed as the likely venue, with a date of 26 April being discussed.

Lee has been in Ireland this week, taking a short break from training, while waiting by the phone for news of developments from manager/trainer Adam Booth and longtime business advisor Damian McCann. Potentially, the deal could be done within hours.

I can see Lee giving Golovkin some problems early similar to the Ouma fight, but Ultimately he gets knocked out in rounds 5-7.

I think this one will go late, and it will be good to see how GGG stamina stands up. Lee was up on Chavez in their fight, but there was now way he could hurt him, idk if that is the same for Golovkin. I also don't think GGG hits as hard as Chavez, because Chavez is a giant.

First of all the mere fact Lara called out GGG means nothing as Lara knows he fights on Showtime and GGG on HBO. Lara knows he wasn't getting the fight, but called him out anyway.

Ward is a fight HBO would love to make, unfortunately Ward is not seeing any action anyway because he is having promoter issues.
