We'd obviously have to see the odds when the fight is official, but if NSB is any indication of those odds, Kovalev will be a big favorite.

a simple polling of who we think will win is not really a complete reflection of our views, though. from what i have read, many who are picking kovalev, myself included, are hedging our bets a bit and concede that stevenson has a very good chance too. when i imagine this fight i see kovalev smothering stevenson with hard, accurate punches and hurting him every time he lands, and i also see him getting poleaxed by a big counter left. any outcome is possible except a boring fight!

I actually think (although this may be changed by the upcoming fights) that Stevenson is likely to start as a slight betting favourite. Certainly his wins over Dawson and Cloud are viewed by some as leagues beyond any of Kovalevs victories. To me things look a little different - but I think the oddsmakers will have them much closer than opinion on NSB seems to suggest.

The simple fact is that this is a fight which is all but impossible to call....but if you haveta place a bet, I doubt there's any fight less likely to go the distance this year.

Whilst I, personally think Kovalev is most likely to win, the most important thing is that the fight actually happens and we get to see this decided in the ring.
