He responds very well to being cracked directly on the chin. He recovers quickly, turns it up, and wins the rest of the round.

Its definitely solid. Only been dropped once (Judah), and that was a flash knockdown. He doesnt have a forcefield, everyone gets hit.

You want to see how tough he is, watch how he dealt with Chavez, Augustus and Cotto. Whether you think he won or lost, he gritted it out against Castillo too.

Lots of people hating on Floyd...listen man. Newark, Camden, Grand Rapids...this ain't Philly or Chi...this is the real dawgz.

At 135 and 140 he wouldn't mind mixing it up (chop chop) but he would get hurt and stunned. He has become safer as he's gotten older. He hasn't 'walked down' his opponents after the Mosley fight. Great will, great skills that makes a great chin, he rolls with all those big shots

Goes to show you what a prime Chavez Sr. or Duran would've done to him. Chavez was old and past prime when fought Floyd.

            Who knows? They never fought.
But out of his whole career the only time I can remember him getting wobbled was against Mosley. That was back when Roger was still training him, now that SR is back he uses his legs more, not just head movement and his shoulder roll.
But the question is how will he take a Maidana rabbit punch.

hatton made him to the backward chicken dance, mosley rocked his world mayweather was holding for dear life poor ref had to call break to get the jaws of life the pry mayweather off mosley, zab scored a KD over mayweather, jesus chavez scored a KD over mayweather etc etc so his defense is good but also is leaky.

Chavez wasn't old when he fought Floyd,, he was prime and was like 29-1 and would go one to win a title at 130 and fight morales.. Chavez at 135 was past prime but was still fighting at a pretty high level and even captured a belt at 135 years after the Floyd fight

Good chin, if he clipped by maidana more than once he's going down for sure.

OK, he wasn't old, but he was the smaller fighter (you can clearly see it in the ring), and he wasn't anything special.

Prime Chavez Sr. or Duran would KILL Floyd.
