As I stated, it's not if you win or lose, but how well you look doing it.
Angulo looked good in a lost against Lara. Cotto looked good in his lost to Floyd, looked bad against Trout, but then came back and looked sensational against Rodriguez. (albeit it a limited Rodriguez)

Their jab and speed of their jab is what gave Mayweather problems in the first few rounds of their fights. Especially since both of these guys are natural lefties who fight orthodox.
The reason you saw their jab, and them slow down in the fight is because after a few rounds, once Mayweather had the speed of their jab down, they were getting countered with right hands every single time they threw a jab. After a while of you getting countered with hard flush right hands, you're going to be reluctant to throw a jab against Mayweather.
Slow as in they are slow. Flat footed. Not to mention both well past their best. And Cotto managed to bust Mayweather's nose with his jab. Floyd actually looked embarrassed at one point after Cotto popped his head back repeatedly with the jab.

His resume is littered with guys who are slow and flat footed and have no jabs and not much defence.

Canelo, Guerrero, Ortiz, Cotto (jab but slow) Oscar (jab but slow), Mosley (fast for a couple of rounds, ZERO jab), Hatton etc etc

A better question would be who has he faced with genuine speed of hand and foot. Or who has he faced that's actually got a jab.

Are you actually suggesting that Maidana isn't completely tailor made for Mayweather?
What jab does Khan has? What defense does Khan have ()? Dude's chin is pure China. His footwork is bad. And having fast hands means what, exactly?

Mayweather would toy with Khan! Are you serious? He's not faster than floyd and his jaw is made of thin glass that even an opera singer could shatter it! Floyd will get tested against Maidana because he's a different kind of pressure fighter and more importantly, his confidence is way up after these last 4 fights...

Floyd took the easy option, its as simple as that

He's said in various interviews he rather take an easy fight than a hard one, health comes first

Angel Garcia said he doesnt blame Floyd, because he himself was trying to get Maidana to fight Danny not to long ago instead of Lucas, but Maidana said no

Sometimes the easier option is better for ur health and for Floyd health comes first
What does Garcia have to do with anything? He crushed Amir as well.

Maidana is not an easier fight than Khan. Maidana would stop Khan if they were to fight tomorrow.

Khan couldn't stop Fossil Julio but Mayweather's health comes first against Khan? You can not be serious.

Footwork? Man do yall remember that mess Khan was doing against Peterson? Looked like he was jerkin.

I'm off to lunch, these guys are hilarious.

I remember Mayweather's toughest fight. Came against the ultra-quick and glass-chinned Jose Luis Castillo. This is the style Floyd struggles with.

Khan's bunny hops would be nothing but wasted energy while Mayweather smacks him about. Hatton had better footwork and it got him knocked into the ring post.

When you say slow, do you mean slow compared to Mayweather? Because DLH was not a slow fighter, and Cotto has some speed as well. Are they as fast as Mayweather, no! But very few fighters actually are. I doubt Khan is as fast as Mayweather.

I don't remember Marcos having much trouble with Khan "moving in and out of range" with his (Marcos) "slow" footwork. But Khan moved like hell when he was hurt though.
