  • Maidana is tough and will come to fight but his chances are slim to none. He's boxings caveman. Is he more deserving than Khan? Well when those 2 are your ONLY options then yes. Khan although he has a crap chin he possesses a much more difficult stylistic matchup for Floyd than the slow plodding flatfooted wide punch throwing Maidana does. Khan at least has a long reach, good jab and speed, and much better footwork than Maidana. Lets also not forget that Floyd isnt a murderous puncher. He's accurate but does not possess 1 punch power the way Garcia and Prescott did when they KO'd Khan.

I'm happy Khan didnt get the fight because he did zilch to deserve it but please...Lets not act like Maidana poses a bigger threat because he doesnt.

Even if you draw them pictures, or have Floyd actually saying that they are both cherry picks, Floyd fans will pretend not to get it.

Funny thing is, prior to Maidana's name being thrown into the mix, most of the Floydboys were defending Khan as a choice. "He brings a fanbase tho!"

          • Khan would've been a horrible choice, weak chin and leaves himself open way too much, all offense, no defense

At least with Miadana, it has the potential to be interesting. Almost all of Miadana fights are exciting and action packed. At best it will be Oscar vs Mayweather all over again, or it can be Hatton vs Mayweather, all over again.

Nobody said he's scared if you read the post im not sayin Khan would win.

All I said is there is a reason he continually fights tyhe same style fighter over and over again. He's all about the safe fight and low risk, he knows these types of fighters are taylor made for him.

Alll I said like danny is it would have been interesting to see him fight someone who doesn't implement that come straight forward no movement style.

Calm down son you sound insecure as f**k and quit gettin butt hurt because people have different opinions. This is a debate forum. Your in the wrong place if your hear for everyon to agree with you

Thanks homie! I'm not gonna lie i used to be skeptical of danny but I gained a lot of respect for him after the Matthyse win. I'm not gonna lie I didn't think he was gonna win that fight, and he endured some tough early rounds and came back.

ZGotta give him props and I look forward to seeing him again. He just gets a bad wrap because of his pops, but he's proving people wrong

Angulo quit his last time out. And hasn't beaten a legitimate jr middleweight in god knows how long. Yet he's a legitimate opponent for arguably the best fighter in the division. But Maidana isn't for Floyd.

Not telling you how to spend your money. But the fights you mentioned are probably worse mismatches that Floyd-Maidana. And the "opponenet" in both of those is far less deserving than Chino.
I see your point, what I'm saying is at least those two fights have intrigue and the possibility for fireworks based on canelo and Angulo's styles.

Also Cotto is tough as f**k and I'm interested to see what he can do against a seemingly declining Sergio.

I'm a Maidana fan but I'm not interested in paying $70 to see Floyd fight the same style over and over again taylor made for him and watch a pot shotting snooze fest where he will take no chances and see it for 12 rnds

It would have been the same .... they would be saying "don't worry GB will stack the undercard" and actually they are saying it even now.

but what does that have to do with Floyd's selection?
