Used to think Bowe throwing the belt in the trash was the more disgraceful act, but now that I think about it, Lewis denying Vitali a rematch after saying he would on live tv for all the world to see was also pretty disgraceful especially seeing many people thought vitali would have beat him if not for the eye. Why not come back and shut everyone up?

Lewis beat Vitali and its not like he took on other fights. He wasn't interested in fighting anymore, why risk your health just to shut up people that ultimately mean nothing to you compared to your family?Comment

lewis gave vitali a voluntary shot, beat him then retired. so what? it was tko 6 10 years ago, still is now & will be 20 years from now. sure a rematch would have been great but he didn't owe him anything. going from fighting mike Tyson to vitali klitschko was a big downgrade in prestige & money. he'd been chasing Tyson for years & got his big payday. I was surprised lennox didn't retire after he fought Tyson...vitali put up a great fight but it was clear that lennox was already half in retirement after a year long party following the Tyson fight. Rahman & mcall got it done but vitali didn't... let it go...Comment
