I disagree. For guys like Lomachenko and Rigondeaux, there's no need to fight 20-30 fights against tomato cans before stepping it up. I look at guys like GGG and Deontay Wilder and it just makes me sick. If you've competed internationally as an amateur. It makes absolutely no sense to waste years and years padding a record against guys who aren't as good as most of the people you fought as an amateur.

20-30 fights? Certainly not. But there's a huge leap between being a am and a 12 round pro. I'll say this, if salido makes it past the first 6 rounds or so lomachenko is in a great deal of trouble.I disagree. The Point is ,how well does his jaw holds up and most fighters starting out can bank in 6 fights a year if he becomes champion he'll fight only 2 to 3 times a year. What I do see here is an early retirement and not even 10 fights ,this guy is going to get hit ,his style isn't like Rigo who slips punches just like Sweet Pea if not better.
It still will be interesting to see if he can take a punch.Comment

Based on what? Skill?!? Cause beating Salido at this stage in his career would be HUGE, however, a Salido win doesn't earn you a P4P ranking. WTF.Comment

This is just an old coot being one. The Ring and Lampley are supposed to be objective. Its bad enough ring was ranking canelo and broner p4p. It was disgusting that Lampley put GGG in his top 5. THis is worse than both. I mean I get Bob ishyping his guy but geez.
But this has been a trend recently. I remember Harrison Barnes was voted a pre season 1st team all american before he even played a college game.Comment
