My dad was a huge Chavez fan. He would take me to all the PPV's & he would record some of them as well. I specifically remember being around 7 or 8 when Chavez beat Randell & I won 60 bucks thinking I was the richest kid in the world good times. Great thread!

That's a winning record though. Can't have that.

For me it was Wladimir Klitschko.

He's actually surpassed my expectations. I knew he was talented, but I never thought he'd still be champion at age 38 in 2014.

Come on man.. It's Hector "Macho" Camacho that did it for me..

Blazing speed, 5 punch combos..I was hooked..

Although I had seen Muhammad Ali, Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roy Jones, Mike Tyson and Naseems highlights, interviews etc because these fighters had and still have an aura around them lol
Funnily enough It was Amir Khan who actually was the eye opener for me to the sport. I remember him receiving so much hype in the Uk and I watched the Graham Earl fight live and of course he got knocked out a couple fights later, in which the hype for him died down but was resurrected after the hiring of a new coach who trains an ATG of this generation and of course from that point on I had started to explore this noble art

Well when you're 7 years old as I was, you don't 'decide' who opens your eyes to the sport Tyson happened to be the one when he demolished Bruno. I was actually crying when I watched it

Tyson Vs Bruno was a great fight for Mike but I can understand being in Europe and not having much to cheer for or see in the 80's..

                    Sugar Ray Leonard and Ali.

RJJ had a huge influence on me as a newbie boxing fan. I'm sure there were guys before RJJ that I've watched, but I always remember being a RJJ stan.
