Spadafora, he was like a neighborhood super hero growing up
Is there a specific fighter who got you interested in boxing initially?

It was shortly before my 7th birthday, late February '89.Nigel Benn, Roy Jones jr, Prince Naz were the ones for me.
You didn't watch Bruno-Tyson in '89
Were you 6 years old? come on dude. At least cover up your lies with something better.
Correct answer for you would be: "When Wladimir Klitschko fought Ibragimov in '08" - Fighting poetry.Comment

Jake La Motta
I watched the Raging Bull movie with my grandfather when I was about 12, when it was on regular TV. Then my grandfather use to tell me stories of watching his fights live in New York in his teens/early 20s, and how superhuman he was.
So watching that movie was like, in my mind watching the real thing. Became a fan of De Niro and LaMotta all in one sitting. This was all in Tyson's prime as well, so that really connected me with my grandpop. Good timesComment

That was actually going to be my answer. Except I would call it "art," more then anythingComment

I grew up with my parents watching Leonard, Tommy, Marvin, Wilfredo but I wasn't old enough at the time to say I knew exactly what was going on lol. The guy that did it for me was Sweet Pea. I saw him and said "that's the way you're supposed to fight". Then Roy Jones came onto the scene and I fell in love again lol. I remember when those 2 were trying to set up a fight.Comment

Prince Naseem for me.
I just remember always going with my Dad to his mates house to watch his fights. Then I kinda stopped watching all together until I'd say Khan's Olympic run where he got the silver and then I've been following it more closely since.Comment
