I'd be very surprised if Kid UC took the risk of fighting Curtis. Hell even Mora would make him look bad...thing is, I haven't even got anything against the guy - he ain't bad, he's big (more of a smw actually, like JLL) strong and pretty fast.

But the simple fact is he ain't going to be anything more than he is right now unlss he either jumps ship or becomes willing to travel...there's no-one for him to fight at SHO. Danny Jacobs? I wouldn't even guarantee that, and then what?

He probably wants to fight Macklin and Stevens since GGG ruined them. Quillin is going to break Bernard Hopkins middleweight title defenses record when it's all said and done. Definitely a future hall of fame fighter so why risk fighting a guy like GGG to tarnish your legacy??

IMO... it has to be Macklin. Quillin talked up a big game and called him out on twitter.
Macklin has been calling him out for a while and is even willing to take the short money to fight Quillin.

he is not wrong though. how can people be on his case for not throwing away a good deal with showtime when nobody is asking golovkin to leave hbo to fight quillen? its the same scenario, they are doing well where they are at. they didnt start this cold war, the suits did. all the fighters can do is adapt and make the best of the situation.
