Which 60% of Puerto Rican's do and then you can say your ***ing Native to the America's and nobody can say **** to you..PRPPLast edited by richardt; 02-26-2014, 01:13 PM.

He was not born there, he is not a part of their lifestyle, their heritage, their culture. Not a difficult concept to grasp.

It has to do with being an integral part of their (the Islander's) culture and he is not. Case-in-point #2. Dulorme is half Puerto Rican which is less than Garcia. Who do you think the native Puerto Rican's would support if Dulorme managed to become an opponent? Or Verjejo? Not Garcia! Dulorme and Verdejo ARE a part of the Puerto Rican Culture on the island. It is neither right not wrong, it just is what it is. Garcia will get UNCONDITIONAL support from back east and CONDITIONAL support from the Island! And the antithesis is also true. If Verdejo was to fight in Philly against Garcia some day, the local born and raised Puerto Ricans from the Philly area would support Garcia more than Verdejo or Dulorme for that matter. It comes down to CULTURE!! The really dumb thing that Garcia is doing is he is looking for something that he will NOT get a flight distance away, it has been right in his own neighborhood the whole time, UNCONDITIONAL support! If he wants THAT type of support, all he has to do is get on a plane, fly around the world, land back in his hometown, home state, get off the plane, and it will be right where he started from, right under his nose the whole time! He hasn't figured out that GBP is doing this next fight only for the money in hopes of drumming up new support/business but Garcia will not find what he is looking for over there in a genuine unconditional way, it is not possible!
This is the SAME EXACT dynamic as Oscar vs Chavez! Sure anyone can say "Isn't Oscar Mexican?, so why would folks south of the border not support him?". That is not how it works! They supported him RIGHT UP to the point before he signed to fight native Mexican, Chavez and then the folks south of the border pulled for Chavez and turned their backs on Oscar. They offered Oscar CONDITIONAL support and JCC UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT. It is like a card came, unconditional beats out conditional. This is THE WAY IT IS! Get it? Got it? GOOD! Now go get a clue if you have to beg, borrow, or steal one!!!Last edited by richardt; 02-26-2014, 01:47 PM.

And it is the same situation that would take place if somehow Garcia fights Cotto some day which is not likely but it is a FACT that the native Puerto Ricans would pull for Cotto or even Verdejo or even Dulorme if he continues to win - JUST THE SAME WAY as when Oscar fought Chavez. This is not up for debate! Why the hell do you think most fans in SF pull for THIER baseball and football teams, why the hell do you think that most fans from New York pull for their baseball and football teams???!!!!
Like I said, a lot of what you are saying is not fact. It's really arguable things. Very opinionated. You make a lot of assumptions, sweeping generalizations.

I said the MAJORITY of people will vote for the local Boxers, Baseball teams, Football teams, this is not even remotely up for debate! WHY THE HELL DO YOU THINK IN MAJOR FIGHTS WHEN A LOCAL FIGHTER IS INTRODUCED IN THE RING THEY GET YAY'S AND CLAPS AND WHEN A FIGHTER FROM ANOTHER CITY/STATE/COUNTRY IS INTRODUCED IN THAT SAME RING THEY GET BOOS???!!!!........DUH!!! You cannot possibly be that plain ******!
And I hear what you're saying in terms of support. I just wasn't feeling your examples, the Camacho Trinidad one was much better.Last edited by radioraheem; 02-26-2014, 04:02 PM.
