Clearly Mayweather thought otherwise when he told him not to fight Alexander and sign a contract to fight him

Boxing Contracts 101: Only the contracted promoter of a fighter can offer said fighter a contract for a fight. i.e. GBP!!!!!

Floyd can't offer Khan shit, Floyd can only make an offer to GBP to fight one of their fighters -- But the agreement is between Floyd and GBP!!!!

GBP then offers the contract to Khan ....

In this instance, GBP fucked up by offering this moron a contract that wasn't approved by Floyd. And since no promoter can tell Floyd who to fight -- Khan got burned.

This isn't a Pac\Arum situation where Arum tells Manny who, when and where to fight -- Floyd has the first and last word, period.
