GBP, like most promoters have open contracts which they have their fighters sign, prior to the other party\promoter even stating terms. Once the terms are stated then those additions are amended to the open -- But an open contract never is intended to be a final draft, because the other side has to come to terms first.
Like I stated: GBP probably just gave Khan a one-sided agreement that would be presented to Floyd's team on-demand. Maidana probably had one ready to sign as well ..... only Team Maidana knows the difference between the two types of contracts ...... Without the second parties agreement, IT IS NON-BINDING.
This is why all Khan can do is complain to twitter idiots! If he had an actual two-sided binding contract, it was just breached, and he has legal repercussions.
If all Khan had is a one-sided open-ended contract, then he has a piece of paper that isn't worth shit.
Here is a typical boxing contract that can be issued on a one-sided basis ..... Without both parties signing, along with the commission, IT IS NOT VALID.

While Khan facing Mayweather would of been more a joke, Khan does have a point. Why the hell make a poll to let the fans decide if your going to ignore them? rofl. Fraud Jr. doesn't even give a SHIEET about his fans, yet they continue to ride his nuts to defend his antics. Sad society.

Since when in the history of the sport has an fight opponent been selected by a freakin poll?!?!
Its completely laughable and hilarious that some folks actually believed that the result would be honored.
It was a publicity stunt!!!!:boobies:

All the "I will give Mayweather problems" talks from him and all the other U.K. reporters chiming in that he would give Mayweather problems didn't help his cause. If May is 'cherry picking' as many of you say, they might have underestimated Khan's blinding speed and Dancing With the Starsesque footwork until they reviewed his tape and saw how effective a fighter he was and all the trouble he would give Mayweather. Mayweather ducked Amir Khan .......... O_o
(idiots won't know this was sarcasm until reading this line)

This is a clear example of why one should never bank on a perceived agreement that isn't signed by all chief parties involved. Khan said that he signed HIS part of the agreement. There's no mention of Mayweather signing anything. Amateur move, Amir.

the irony in Khan accusing Floyd of avoiding him, when Khan turned down fighting Devon Alexander is just too funny
does anybody take this clown seriously?
at this point Khan just needs to shut the heck up and fight already. I'm starting to forget Khan boxes professionally
