Comments Thread For: Canelo's Trainer: Nobody Right Now Can Beat Mayweather

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is just weeks away from his showdown with tough Mexican rival Alfredo “Perro” Angulo as he will try and bounce back from his defeat last September at the hands of the sport’s number one pound for pound fighter Floyd Mayweather.

Alvarez was the 45th victim to fall to Mayweather who boasts an undefeated record of 45-0 and only has 4 more fights left in both his Showtime contract and likely his boxing career. Mayweather is set to fight again on May 3rd against WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana, and Canelo’s manager/trainer Jose “Chepo” Reynoso feels the Argentine fighter will be unable to crack the “Mayvinci” code.

If nobody could beat Mayweather right now... then why are people paying to watch his fights when we already know who's gonna win. We all know that Maidana is a hard puncher.. but slow for mayweathers eye to see coming from a mile away.

I would have to say just LARA beats him, your other picks stand 0% chance

Castillo and Lara fight absolutely nothing alike. Castillo beat better fighters than Lara did, too.

On the contrary, my friend. There are some who can beat Floyd right now.

Three CJ Ross-like judges judging May vs Maidana...

yea, i dont see anyone that gives him a competitive fight unless they outsize him considerably. i think hed whitewash pac, bradley and lara. ppl see it differently but whatever. thats the issue here though. this fight is a good fight for anyone else but floyd because ppl know he wont lose. but i dont really think thats his fault. if u cant fight a world champion and get credit just because u are vastly superior then something is wrong with boxing and he probably wouldnt get credit after whitewashingf those other guys anyways. its a legit fight.
