Thank you for the bold statements Timmy. I never knew Maidana stood no chance.

Ok, I'm going to try to answer your question
Louis had a "bum of the month club". But I think he went through the HW division for almost two decades.....
The only person I believe JJ might have ducked while being the champ was Sam Lankford, & Joe Jenarette. The reason being, during that time who was going to pay to see a black on black fight. it was easier for him to beat up on whites.
They wanted the title out of his hands!Comment

And is Lopez and Broner really better wins than Aydin and Berto? Maybe by a margin, but not really.Comment

That's the same thing I said with Guerrero. It's wishful thinking. And remember, Guerrero can brawl AND box. Maidana can only brawl, and that's gonna tire his ass out by the 5th round. WATCH!

Its as if some posters (not you) refuse to acknowledge it. In other sports, for instance football, if you stop a team from doing what its best at, the defense gets credit. Even in one on one and combat sports th idea is to make your opponent change the way they compete.
The truth is if ghost, canelo, agbeko, nonito, etc. kept punching and tried to win, the outcome would likely be far less than boring.Comment

Sir, did you know who Jack Johnson was???
Did you know the significance of his reign as HW champion?
He was the 1st elusive fighter ever. How whites called him YELLOW because he would slip punches, counter, and haD side to side movement.
How he was the 1st fighter of color to hold the HW title.
If he were around today he would still be relevant threat to the title.
Where as MP, & FMJ would be scrubs in the SRL, Hearns, Benetez era.....Comment

I have a feeling this fight will be different. It's true he doesn't usually get in exchanges, but he has been making a point to make more exchanges with his opponents lately if you have been paying attention, and I expect that trend to continue up until he retires, regardless of who he is facing.Comment
