Did you know the significance of his reign as HW champion?

If floyd makes Maidana reduce his punch output the way he did ghost or the way Rigo did AGbeko-isn't that something posters should give credit for rather than after the fact changing their opinion of the quality of the opponent (not saying you are doing this.)

Its as if some posters (not you) refuse to acknowledge it. In other sports, for instance football, if you stop a team from doing what its best at, the defense gets credit. Even in one on one and combat sports th idea is to make your opponent change the way they compete.

The truth is if ghost, canelo, agbeko, nonito, etc. kept punching and tried to win, the outcome would likely be far less than boring.

You make a good point, and I'll still give Floyd credit for white washing Maidana. It's not like I'm gonna totally bash the hell out of the win.

I have a feeling this fight will be different. It's true he doesn't usually get in exchanges, but he has been making a point to make more exchanges with his opponents lately if you have been paying attention, and I expect that trend to continue up until he retires, regardless of who he is facing.

lol @ this fight will be different...you have no clue. floyd doesn't make more exchanges like what you're saying and there's no trend. floyd may have been a little more offensive minded but it's not what you call exchanges. he hits you but he doesn't allow you to hit back...that's not what you call exchanges because it's pretty much one sided.

that's exactly what's he gonna do to maidana...floyd will hit him over and over again without getting hit back until maidana succumbs to frustration. floyd will break him down piece by piece. there will be no war...floyd is too smart for that.

only way floyd will get touched up is he's slipped mightily. maidana isn't as easy too hit as say margarito....but if he lands anything more than 120 punches i would say floyd is slipping...... i expect maidana now to land less than 100 punches and less than 20%
