Calzaghe can brutally KO people, that's why he's got 31 KOs out of 40 wins. He's not the greatest fighter on the planet, but he should have enough to beat Lacy. Surely Lacy fans should be bigging Calzaghe up so that if Jeff manages to beat him it makes his triumph all the more outstanding. Byron Mitchell, Charles Brewer, Richie Woodhall, Omar Sheika, Robin Reid and Chris Eubank were ALL tough opponents, and whilt Joe's never fought another superstar, his reign of nearly NINE YEARS should be respected. His resume is easily as good as B-Hop's was before the Trinidad fight. In fact, all of B-Hop's best wins (Both of them) were against naturally much smaller fighters. If Joe was from Philly, New York, Florida, Chicago or LA I am sure that he would get much more respect on here than he does. In fact I believe that he would be in the p4p top ten. This is a man that has not lost, amateur or pro, since he was 18 years old. However, I'm not saying he's loads better than Lacy. Just that he deserves respect and if Jeff does manage to beat him then it proves Lacy really is a great, great fighter. Likewise, if Calzaghe beats Lacy, it proves that he too is a great fighter.Originally posted by TheEvilSaintcal***gy cant brutally KO anybody, much less jeff lacy.
so no, this aint gonna happen.Comment

cal***gy's "resume" is one of the worst in boxing today. lacy will be the first dangerous opponent cal***gy has ever faced.Originally posted by myunksafiedCalzaghe can brutally KO people, that's why he's got 31 KOs out of 40 wins. no, cal***gy cant brutally KO people, which is evidenced by his 9 decision wins in 40 fights.
getting a lengthy reign by fighting stiffs and has-beens doest merit you respect in my book.Comment

Hey man remember when Antwun Echols got brutalised by Charles Brewer? Echols is still considered Hopkins' best ever win.. but 999 out of 1000 referee's would of stopped Echols in that second round against Brewer and 999 out of 1000 referee's wouldn't of stopped Brewer in that Echols fight when he was perfectly fine to go on. Brewer got robbed, he was beating the **** out of Echols.. and Calzaghe quite easily beat Brewer whereas Hopkins struggled with Echols!Originally posted by myunksafiedOn B-Hops resume then - who is better than on Calzaghe's?Last edited by JuicyJuice; 02-13-2006, 11:35 AM.Comment
