Joe hardly stands a chance, let's be realistic. He's looked a shadow of his former self in his last three fights.

I think it's disgraceful how Jones Jr and Hopkins avoided him for so many years, Calzaghe would of beaten them both circa 2002.

its legit though cause say calzaghe really is real good why should lacy get crapped on super bad when hes taking the fight with 21 fights under him while calzaghe has 40 fights under him.

i think calzaghe is the top guy and lacy too their tied to me. this decides who is better. calzaghe people got the age factor for your excuse so there you go.

I'll maybe give you Jones, I just see Jones' coward style getting the better of Calzaghe's square-on style.

But ****ing Hopkins, do me a favour!

Calzaghe is so washed-up it's unreal, and he hardly stands a chance unless the fight takes place at 175 or 190. Making 168 is taking far too much away from him.

                The answer is:

There's a certain group of people who will NEVER give credit to any white, foreign fighter, no matter what...always finding a way to spin to their detriment.

Then there's others who are skeptical and give credit and criticism when it's earned, and who offer well thought out, unbiased opinions. (This is a miniscule minority on boxing message boards).

Then there's the UK'ers who praise Benn, Eubanks, Calzaghe, and Hatton like they are Muhammed Bruce Lee reincarnate, no matter what.

Then of course are the bandwagoners who only remember the last fight, and repeat the general notion of what they read of others' opinions on message boards.

In other words, you're going to have a wide variety of opinions on Calzaghe after the bout- yes, even if he knocks Lacy into the first row.

Some excellent points there, matey. Though dont agree about us Brits worshiping UK fighters no matter what.

Lacy will get credit for taking the fight. But some criticism will be valid when he loses (and he will) as both he and his fans really and seriously believe he is the next big thing in boxing. Lacy believes his own hype. Joe is not like that.
