To me, and probably 3/4 of the posters on NSB, Floyd is, and always will be, a cherry picker. So much for fighting 'the best'.

When you cherry pick as much as Floyd anything is possible.

Schaeffers comments that FLoyd is stepping up to the plate and a warrior is so funny. I think Miguel is stepping up to the plate, not Floyd. Floyid didn't want the plate that contained Sergio. Left a bad taste in FLoyds mouth.

That's why FLoyd is held to lower standard than his peers, who he is supposedly better than. Floyd is supposedly better than Miguel isn't he, yet its Miguel fighting Sergio, whereas a Maidana fight is considered legite for Floyd?

There's alot of hate goin' on here. We all know that Maidana might not be the best WW, but he deserves this fight more than Khan! For those who think Maidana hasn't earned it, check the fighters at Welterweight and look at there opponents. There are some who keep fighting Jr. Welterweights but consider themselves P4P. Floyd has fought Jr. WWs, WWs, Jr. MWs, and still is undefeated. I give him his props for picking Maidana, Maidana is just as tough as Rios, Provodnikov, and Bradley. He's not as skilled as Marquez and Pacquiao, but he's EARNED his opportunity! Thanks Floyd for keeping it real!

Really can't understand all the anger at this. Let's look at Floyd's viable opponents:

Manny and Bradley are fighting each other, Danny Garcia is at 140, Matthysse's coming off a loss, Thurman's biggest win is over a guy Maidana ko'd two fights ago.

Marcos deserves it more than anyone and has a belt to boot which will set Mayweather up to unify the division in his next two fights, if he makes it past the *****y wonder that is…
